Desktop and custom portals

The Janison LMS Desktop brings a centralised, organised and contextualised portal interface to your online learning environment.

This secure environment draws together all of your online education resources. Once you've logged on you are never more than a click or two away from the information you need.

Just like the rest of the Janison LMS, the Desktop is customisable and configurable to suit your organisational requirements. The Janison development team are able to provide expert customisation services or support when you are performing your own customisation.

From this location all users can complete a number of essential tasks:

  • Students are able to access all of their courses, all of their forums and chat rooms and facilities for sending email to other people in their classes.
  • Teachers are provided with access to online assessment tools and student tracking instruments on the Desktop from the Teachers menu.
  • Developers are provided with a specialised menu where course and user creation wizards are displayed. Here, you'll also find useful tools for maintaining your eLearning environments.
