Janison LMS : Key features
Chat rooms
A Janison Chat room can take many different forms. As a common room it is a venue for the casual get togethers that online learners and trainers need to form teams and get to know each other. As a lecture theatre it becomes the space where guests can be presented, role plays can be performed and facilitated discussions can progress.
Chat rooms can be use text-based chat, or can use our ' comic chat' features, which allows users to use default avatars to represent them in a graphic environment, or to create their own characters.
The Janison chat room environment was created to address the requirements of the dynamics of managing an online training room. There is a range of commands available and easily accessible to the trainer in charge of the room.
Our Chat moderation features make managing the room easy from within the room itself.
- One or more people can be given permission to control the room and work as a team within the space.
- Messages can be posted and deleted or the whole room cleared.
- Images can be inserted to emphasise a point or instigate a discussion.
- Coloured text can be used to differentiate individuals, conversation threads or roles within the room.
