Public Transport Authority of WA

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is responsible for the following transport services:

• rail, bus and ferry services in the metropolitan area
• public transport services in regional centres
• coach and rail passenger services to regional areas
• school buses.

In addition to these transport services, the PTA is responsible for designing and building transport infrastructure.
